Is NoMatesRates really free?
Yes. Our Free plan gives you the essential tools to manage customers, create professional quotes and invoices, produce PDFs and send documents using WhatsApp, text or email.
There is no need to upgrade just to keep your everyday quoting and invoicing organised.
Optional paid features are clearly explained before you subscribe. There are no surprise upgrades or hidden commitments.

NoMatesRates is designed for busy tradespeople, freelancers, contractors and small business owners who spend more time working on site than sitting behind a desk.
Whether you are a plumber, electrician, builder, carpenter, decorator, landscaper or another mobile professional, the app helps you manage the business side of the job from your phone.
You don't need to be technically minded or have any accounting experience to get started.
How quickly can I create a quote?
You can create a professional quote while the job is still fresh in your mind - before leaving the customer's property.
Add the customer, describe the work, enter your prices and produce a professional PDF from your phone.
Quotes can be amended, duplicated, updated and converted into invoices when the work is agreed.

How do I send quotes and invoices?
Send your completed documents using the communication tools already available on your phone, including WhatsApp, text and email.
You can also view, save or share the professional PDF.
Your customer does not need to download NoMatesRates or create an account to receive it.
It is quick for you and straightforward for them.
Can I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
Yes. Once the customer agrees to the work, you can convert the quote into an invoice without entering everything again.
The customer details, work description and pricing are carried across, ready for you to check and send.
You can then update the document's status so you can see what has been sent, accepted or paid.
It keeps the job moving and reduces repeated admin.

Can customers pay me through the app?
NoMatesRates Pro Payments is being developed to give tradespeople simpler ways to accept customer payments.
Planned payment options include Tap to Pay on compatible phones, secure payment links and QR-code payments.
Tap to Pay will allow you to accept contactless card and digital-wallet payments without carrying a separate card reader.
Pro Payments is currently in testing.
Availability will depend on your device, location, Stripe account approval and technical compatibility.

Are my customer details and payments secure?
Customer and business information is protected using appropriate security controls within the NoMatesRates platform.
Payment onboarding, identity checks, transaction processing and payouts are handled securely by Stripe.
NoMatesRates does not hold your customers' card details or act as a bank.
You remain in control of your account, documents and business information.
